Fishing where your hero does the work
The server is still closed, but fishing is ready. It's simpler than in vanilla Minecraft: no staring at a bobber.
Fish don't live in every puddle. Waters you can fish in are marked on the world map under the "Fishing spots" layer, each with its level. Hold a rod in your main hand, walk up to a spot and right-click the water. In the MMO camera, just click the water under the cursor. From there your hero fishes alone and drops the catch into your inventory. Move, put the rod away or right-click again, and you stop.

Skill and rods
Fishing has its own skill. It grows as you catch fish and has nothing to do with your hero's level, so a swordsman fishes just as well as a mage. Harder spots only let you in with a higher skill. And once you've outgrown a spot, it gives you very little experience, which means it's time to find deeper water.
Rods come in tiers, from the Willow Rod up to Windlord's Rod. A better rod brings in fish more often and has a better shot at rare ones.
You can't sit there with a rod all day, though. Fishing has its own stamina, and when it runs out your hero reels in. It comes back by itself, even while you're offline.
What you can catch
Which fish bite depends on the spot's level. Some of the first ones are Silverfin, Moonlit Eel and Skywhale Fry, and we're still adding to the list.
Your catch goes into buff food. Golden Windkoi, for example, is an ingredient of Suncatch Golden Chowder. What to cook and which buffs you get is in the fishing and food guide.
We're still tuning the numbers for rods and skill during the test. We'll announce the server opening here and in our channels.
